COVID-19, Aviation and Tourism: Implications and the Way Forward – GARS

The German Aviation Research Society (GARS), the European Aviation Conference, the Bremen University of Applied Sciences, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the Laboratory for Tourism Research and Studies (ETEM) at the University of the Aegean and the Hellenic Aviation Society jointly host the 6th GARS Online Panel Discussion – this time on COVID-19, Aviation and Tourism: Implications and the Way Forward. The panel will analyze the structural interdependence between aviation and tourism and how both sectors have been affected by the pandemic so far. It will then discuss how COVID-19 can potentially shape the future of aviation and tourism in both the short and the longer term.

The online session starts at 17:00 CEST. The panel will be very interactive, and attendees are
welcome to put their questions and comments via the chat function. There will be enough time for
intense debates between the panellists and the audience. The online event will end no later than
18:30 CEST.
